About WaterColor

Does WaterColor live up to its name? The beach, the Boathouse, paddleboarders drifting by, storefront windows begging for a second look. The magic here is real, and it doesn’t take long to see it. This master-planned community was built with nature in mind. Environmental stewardship keeps the homes, shops, and restaurants woven into the landscape instead of fighting it. Vacation has rarely looked this good.

30A’S SWEET SPOT

WaterColor puts you right in the middle of the action, without feeling like you’re in the middle of anything. Grayton Beach is west. Seaside is east. The beach and Western Lake, one of South Walton’s coastal dune lakes, are right here. Pick a direction. You really can’t go wrong.

FROM VISION TO VACATION

Established in 1999, WaterColor was planned around New Urbanist principles, with walking and biking built into its DNA. What started as a pedestrian-friendly experiment has grown into one of 30A’s most desirable destinations. That vision is still easy to see in the way the community comes together. The reputation is earned.

LUXE, BUT CHILL

WaterColor joins an upscale feel with a laid-back pace. Community pools, The Beach Club, and thoughtfully designed public spaces set the tone. Gorgeous homes, manicured parks, and first-class amenities complete the picture. Flip-flops are still very much welcome.

Pool day or a paddle on Western Lake? WaterColor amenities include the Beach Club, community pools, and Camp WaterColor’s pools, slides, and lazy river, with a children’s playground nearby. You can also reserve a tennis court, explore the community paths, or rent a kayak or paddleboard from the Boathouse. Check your rental’s amenity details before booking; access to the pools, Beach Club, and Camp WaterColor requires the appropriate wristbands.
